Hello
I'm Livia Willey, a young aspiring filmmaker. I’m driven by a deep curiosity and passion for exploring every facet of visual storytelling, from the colors that set a scene’s mood to the sound design that breathes life into it. I’m someone who seeks out genuine connections—both with others and through the stories I create—approaching each project with empathy, thoughtfulness, and a bit of my own silliness. Let’s take a deeper look.
My Story
From a young age, I've always wanted to create. Whether it was with Garage Band, iMovie, a pack of crayons, or cardboard boxes, I've always found a way to make something my own. I grew up editing silly videos on iMovie with my dog, which then eventually evolved to using WeVideo, and finally Premiere Pro. Once learning Premiere Pro, I began editing videos for my schools assembly announcements, creating skits and storylines for the whole school to see. As my passion for filmmaking grew, I became more and more obsessed with color, cinematography, and sound design. Two years in a row, I spent two weeks learning at the School of Creative and Performing Arts, in both New York and Los Angeles. There, I studied the process of how an idea becomes a movie. As I began reaching out to mentors and working on short films of my own, I eventually got the opportunity to work as a Production Assistant on multiple freelance advertising projects. Now, I am studying Film and Television at the Savannah College of Art and Design, learning from true professionals in their field, and being completely submerged in the art of cinema.
